Rare Cannabis Terpenes

Cannabis is incredibly beneficial, and they have different chemicals within this that can help. One of these chemicals is terpenes, and they are found in the wild and in many plants but are helpful.

Cumene

This is actually one that's found from thyme, and also is seen in cumin. This is one that does have a pleasant citrus taste. It also can help with inflammation, and also lessen the pain receptors and feelings. It’s been found in Lemon Skunk, Mango Kush, and also Ghost Train Haze, along with other kinds of strains.

Geranyl Acetate

This is another one that’s found in lemongrass, citronella, and some roses. It’s floral, but also fruity, and is used in a lot of fragrances. This is one that also may be good as a natural antimicrobial, inhibiting the way microorganisms grow. It’s found in harlequin and the amnesia haze strains.

Camphor

This is one of the rarer terpenes, but it’s found within the camphor trees, and also has a nice presence within rosemary. It’s used in a lot of hand creams, due to how easily it gets into the skin. It’s good for creating a pain relief and numbing effect, offers a cooling sensation, and also directly opens up the air passages. Bubba Kush, blue dream, and also Romulan have this.

Phytol

This is another rare one that’s seen in a lot of green teas and is known for having a very nice aroma that's flowery.

The biggest benefit of this one, is the different antioxidant feelings that are there, such as the pain relieving sensations, being a natural anticonvulsant, and also works to help with lowering the inflammation that occurs within the body. Some people also like to use this as a natural sedative, and it is found in a lot of strains that help with sleeping. Cheese strains, Sour Diesel and Jack Herer also have large amounts of this too, and it’s responsible for making it easier to handle disordered sleep.

Phellandrene

Then, we have this one, it smells a lot like eucalyptus, and it has both peppermint and citrus touches to this one.

Currently, this is a popular one in a lot of traditional eastern medicine, due to the fact that it’s good for treating infections, but currently, there isn’t a ton of research on this. But, it might have some surprising health benefits for those who are interested.

It’s found mostly in Jack Herer, Spades, and also the trainwreck strains

These five terpenes are found in a lot of different types of weed strains. The beauty of this is that they’re small in amounts, but are incredibly potent.

You can also get a lot of these different terpenes in other plants and strains too, and if you like wildflowers, this is something that’s worth considering as well. They are very prevalent in all kinds of different plants, and there is a reason why many people are definitely looking to use this as a natural means to treat the different problems that the body has.

Cannabis Strain Pillars

The cool thing about cannabis is that there are so many choices these days, from edibles to pre-=rolls to flower and tinctures, there are a ton of great ways to consume cannabis. This is something that’s been around for a while, but do you know where it began? Read on to find out about the top three pillars of cannabis: Kush, Haze, and Skunk

What are the three Pillars

These are the pillars that most modern strains are based off of, because they offer a flavor which is robust, and an aroma that really sets the stage. Usually, most hybrids come from the genetics of these three. To understand this better though, we’ll go over each of the three pillars below to help you understand why hundreds of hybrid strains come from this.

Haze

Haze is known for being uplifting and energizing, and is known for the effects that are long-lasting, along with aromas too. They offer psychoactive effects without making you feel couch locked and are great for indulging in settings that are social with other people. Despite being popular, a lot of people don’t grow this because it takes up to 16 weeks to grow, and it’s high miniatous. The Haze also is based on Columbian Gold and Indian Sativa types of cannabis.

This is something that has a terpene profile that’s very citrusy and sweet, and it offers better creativity and euphoria too, and is composed of different tepees including myrcene, humulene, and beta caryophyllene as well, in order to give it the taste and aroma that you love. While haze is one of the key parts, there is no evidence that does date back to the genetics of this, and some of us do speculate this was a strain that almost died out.

Skunk

This is similar to the other counterparts, with a questionable origin. Thesis associated with the mammal that’s kind of stinky, and the strain gets the name from this. This is something that’s high in THC, and this is a strain that also does have more modern origins. It’s very potent and adaptable, and it usually has up to 14% THC in it, with different psychoactive effects. It is sweet and skunky in smell, and helps you relax, and myrcene is the main compound that’s a part of this strain.

Kush

Kush is the third pillar, and this is something that is from Hindu Kush mountains where it’s supposedly descended from. This is something that actually grows naturally in some places. This is known for the purple in the plant that makes it look the way it does and is combined with a pungent and piney smell to it, with floral essence hinted in it.

A lot of users love the citrusy and flowery smell to this, and with 18% THC, this is one that’s great for pure relaxation along with happiness. While the effects are a bit generic in the strain, the actual feelings and the psychoactive results do vary. There are a lot of variants of this as well, and it’s good for those who want something intense in the evening to relax your mind.

Most major cannabis strains come from one of these there and they’ve been bred and altered to create some of the most award-winning strains out there. They in it of themselves is strong as it is, and with each of these with various hybrids, it definitely is something worth looking into if you’re a cannabis connoisseur, and someone who is passionate not just abut the plant itself, but the many different applications of use for this.
